SmartMed Learning ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Data we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the platform:

• Account data: your name and email address provided at registration.
• Learning activity: course enrollments, lesson and video completion, quiz and exam results, certificates, and saved resources.
• Billing data: subscription and order records (plan, amount, currency, status, invoice/receipt links). Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages — we never receive or store your full card number or CVV.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic device information captured for security and diagnostics.

How we use data

We use your information to:

• provide and personalize the learning platform and track your progress;
• issue and verify certificates;
• process payments, subscriptions, and refunds, and send purchase and enrollment confirmations;
• maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations;
• improve our courses and services.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in (authentication tokens) and remember essential preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Third-party providers such as Stripe may set cookies on their hosted checkout pages to process payments securely. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or completing a purchase.

Payments processing with Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. When you make a purchase or manage a subscription, your card details are entered directly on Stripe-hosted or Stripe-secured components and are transmitted straight to Stripe — SmartMed Learning never collects, sees, or stores your raw card number, expiry, or CVV. We retain only non-sensitive records (order number, amount, currency, status, and Stripe reference IDs) needed to manage your account, provide receipts, and issue refunds. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Data security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text. Access to administrative functions is role-based and audited in an activity log. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

User rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion of your account and associated personal data;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• request a copy of your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
