Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SmartMed Learning (the "Platform"). By creating an account or purchasing any product or subscription, you agree to these Terms. Please also review our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

Account creation and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and make purchases. One account is intended for a single individual.

Course purchases and lifetime access

Paid courses may be purchased individually. Unless a course is explicitly sold with a limited access period, a one-time purchase grants lifetime access to that course for as long as the Platform offers it. Where a course specifies a fixed access duration, access ends when that period expires. Prices are shown at checkout in the applicable currency and may include active sale pricing; the price displayed at the time of purchase applies.

Monthly and annual subscriptions

Subscriptions grant access to the courses and categories included in the selected plan for the duration of the paid period. Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually) at the then-current price until cancelled. Included content may change over time. When a subscription ends, access to premium content included only through the subscription is locked, while your completed progress and any certificates already earned remain available, and any separately purchased lifetime courses remain accessible.

7-day trial rules

Where offered, a free 7-day trial grants access to a single designated trial course only. Each user may activate the trial once. During the trial you cannot access other premium content or switch to a different trial course. Unless you purchase the course or subscribe, access is automatically locked when the 7-day period ends.

Refund and cancellation rules

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your Billing page; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refund eligibility for course purchases and subscriptions is described in our Refund Policy. Refunds are processed through Stripe and do not delete your learning progress or revoke certificates already earned unless a specific policy requires it.

Certificate rules

Certificates are issued only when you meet the completion and eligibility requirements defined for a course (such as required lessons, videos, quizzes, or final exams). Certificates are personal to you, must not be altered, and may be independently verified via the public verification link. We may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud, error, or violation of these Terms.

Intellectual property and copyright

All course content, videos, lessons, question banks, text, graphics, logos, and other materials on the Platform are owned by SmartMed Learning or its instructors and licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the content for your own educational use only.

Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

  • share, sell, lend, or transfer your account or login credentials to others;
  • resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any Platform content;
  • copy, download (except where a feature explicitly allows it), record, scrape, or reproduce content for redistribution or piracy;
  • circumvent access controls, subscriptions, payment, or trial limitations;
  • use the Platform for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or misuse the Platform. Upon termination your license to access the content ends. Where an account is terminated for cause, fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or our Refund Policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Platform and its content are provided for educational purposes and are not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, institutional policy, or direct medical advice. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartMed Learning is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
